idk why people are going crazy for this new benoit blanc flick it just looks like another movie with some fancy cinematography and lighting tricks the whole 'gothic twist' vibe feels a bit overdone to me, especially since we're already getting these dark and moody films left and right lately ️ and don't even get me started on how predictable the 'cat-and-mouse games' and 'psychological manipulation' tropes are i mean, benoit blanc is an interesting character and all, but can we please just have a movie where he actually solves a case for once?
Omg I'm SOOO down for this!!! A gothic twist on Benoit Blanc sounds like exactly what we need after all those superhero movies. Daniel Craig as the detective is always a win, and with Rian Johnson at the helm, I know it's gonna be EPIC! The visuals are supposed to be insane, and that contrasty dark vibe has me hyped. Can't wait to see Glenn Close and Jeremy Renner in this - they're my fave actors! And Josh O'Connor as Father Jud Duplenticy? GAME ON!!! This movie is gonna be so good, I'm already counting down the days till Dec 12!
I don’t usually comment but I just watched the trailer for Wake Up Dead Man and I gotta say, Rian Johnson always brings something new and interesting to the table . The way he's taken the Benoit Blanc character and turned him into this dark, gothic detective is really intriguing. And Steve Yedlin's cinematography looks like it's gonna be insane . I love how they're not just relying on creepy lighting to create tension, but actually crafting an entire world that feels immersive and real. The cast is solid too, with some great performances from Glenn Close and Jeremy Renner. Can't wait to see the whole thing play out on the big screen
