Warriors: MRI reveals Kuminga knee injury

Warriors' Jonathan Kuminga Suffers Knee Injury, Warriors Confirm via MRI Results

Golden State Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga suffered a bone bruise in his left knee during the second quarter of their recent game against the Mavericks in Dallas. The injury occurred when he rolled his ankle and hyperextended his knee, prompting him to limp off the court before heading to the locker room.

The extent of Kuminga's knee injury was confirmed via MRI results announced by the Warriors on Sunday, ahead of their upcoming matchup against the Timberwolves. According to the team, the MRI revealed a bone bruise in the 23-year-old forward's left knee.

As a result, Kuminga has been ruled out of Saturday's game against the Timberwolves, which was originally scheduled for Saturday afternoon but postponed due to federal agent involvement in protests over an immigration crackdown. The Warriors have also not released a return timeline for Kuminga, leaving his status uncertain ahead of Monday's rematch against the Wolves.

Kuminga had recently returned to action after being benched since December 18, and his injury marks a setback in what had been a promising stretch. During his two games back in the lineup, he scored 30 points over 30 minutes of play. The NBA trade deadline is approaching on February 5, which may lead to speculation about Kuminga's future with the Warriors.

omg i just found out that my fave player is hurt 🤕 what a bummer! so he got a bone bruise in his knee from rolling his ankle and stuff... sounds pretty bad 😓 did they say how long he'll be out? i was really looking forward to watching him play again 🎟️ and now i dont know if the warriors will make any moves at the trade deadline... maybe they'll try to get some more talent 🤔 or maybe kuminga will just come back from it 💪 but idk what's gonna happen next 😕

Ugh, Jonathan Kuminga just when he was getting back into form 🤕. Bone bruise is no joke, hope he gets the proper treatment and recovers ASAP 💊. This is a big blow for the Warriors, especially with the trade deadline looming. They were counting on him to make an impact and now that's uncertain. Fingers crossed he'll be back on the court soon 🤞. Maybe they can use this as an opportunity to evaluate their depth and make some moves at the trade deadline? But, man, it's tough to see Kuminga out for an extended period 🤦‍♂️.

ugh i cant believe this 🤕 warriors need kuminga ASAP for their playoffs run they can already lose a few games without him and i know he was only recently back from injury but his scoring and defense are huge for them. it would be a huge mistake to trade him now, especially with the trade deadline approaching. and i hate waiting for return timelines, just tell us when hes done or if hes out for good! 💔

Ugh, this is so frustrating for fans! I mean, Kuminga was coming into his own after that bench time and now he's out with a knee injury... 🤕 That bone bruise is no joke either - it sounds painful and you can't just shrug it off like a minor tweak. The Warriors are gonna have to make some tough decisions about what to do at the trade deadline, considering how well Kuminga was playing lately. He's got that potential, you know? 😬

this injury is a bummer for kuminga and the warriors... they were lookin' good before this setback 🤕. hope he can recover soon & get back to his game 💪. gotta wonder if this will affect his trade value tho, since the deadline is near 👀. but we won't know that till the dust settles 😊. anyways, wish kuminga a speedy recovery & all 💕!
