I think this is kinda mind-blowing ! I mean, we always thought humans were the only ones with imagination, but now Kanzi's pretending game is giving us a whole new perspective. It's wild to think that apes can understand mental representation and make choices based on it too. What does this mean for animal cognition? Are they experiencing the same kind of creativity as us or something else entirely? I'm excited to see where more research takes us on this!
Mind blown Kanzi's tea party skills are giving me all the feels . Can't believe those bonobos are almost as good at imagination as us humans . It's like, we always thought we were the only ones with this superpower . Now I'm wondering if my dog is secretly planning his own playdates . Would love to see more research on this topic . Can't wait to learn more about our furry friends' cognitive abilities .
this is wild! im not saying kanzi is basically human or anything but its def making us reevaluate how we think about imagination and animals. like what if they can see scenarios in their heads too? that would be crazy i mean, we've always thought of humans as the only ones who can imagine stuff that isn't real, but now we're not so sure
