'We need to accept the cost': future of British Steel unclear as bills for government build up

🤯 £1.2m per day is just crazy! 🤑 how can one company be that expensive to save? it's like throwing money into a black hole and hoping something comes out the other side. 🌀 i dont think the uk government should keep footing this bill, they need to find a way to help british steel pay for itself. 💸 maybe they could offer some incentives or grants to companies who want to invest in eafs? that would be a start. 🚀 and what about michael flacks, is he just going to swoop in and save the day without putting in any effort himself? 🤔 seems like a bad investment opportunity if you ask me... 😒

Ugh, can't believe this :(. British Steel is literally on its last legs now 😩. The cost of propping them up has gone through the roof and it's still not clear if they'll ever be able to pay off their debts. And let's not forget about all the jobs that are at risk... thousands of people could lose their livelihoods because of this. It's so frustrating when you think about it and there doesn't seem like a way out 🤯. The idea of investing in new electric arc furnaces is promising, but it'll be tough to make it happen without causing more job losses 😔. I'm keeping an eye on this situation though... will definitely let you know if things take a turn for the worse 🚨

🤕 the british steel crisis is really hitting home, you know? like, the gov's been propping up the company for ages now and it's getting super expensive 🤑 £1.2m a day is just insane! and to make matters worse, they're still relying on coal-fired blast furnaces which are basically fossil fuels at this point 🌎

anyway, i think the government should really think about investing in eaf's (electric arc furnaces) at scunthorpe - it would be a game-changer for the company and maybe even make them more competitive globally 💡 but, like, it comes with its own set of problems 🤔 job losses, importing scrap steel... it's all kinda complicated

and then there's this us-based investor who wants to buy british steel... i'm not sure what his deal is or how he'd even make it work 🤑 but, hey, at least someone's interested? right?

overall, the situation feels super precarious and the gov needs to step up their game 💪

u know i've been reading about british steel for ages and it's just getting worse ... they're basically throwing money at it without thinking about the long-term effects 🤯. I mean, £1.2m per day is crazy talk! what if they can't find a buyer or make the transition to eaf's? like, 4-5 years of uncertainty is a huge risk for thousands of people. and yet they're not even exploring all the options 🤷‍♂️. it's just so frustrating when you think about it.

🤔 this whole thing just shows us that sometimes you gotta put your money where your mouth is... like the gov's promise to save British Steel. but what they're not saying is how they plan on making it sustainable in the long run 🤑. it's like trying to hold water in your hands - no matter how hard you try, eventually it's gonna slip away 😩. we gotta learn to accept that sometimes things don't work out as planned and we have to adapt... or find new ways to make it work 💡. and let's be real, the people who are losing their jobs are just victims of circumstance 🤕. but the ones who are making the tough decisions gotta take responsibility for finding a solution... sooner rather than later ⏰.

I'm getting worried about this 🤕 British Steel crisis. Like, how can you put a price tag on saving 10,000+ jobs? £1.2m per day? That's insane! 💸 They need to think outside the box, invest in new tech and stuff that'll make them more efficient and sustainable. EAFs are the way forward, I get it, but they're expensive. What's the government gonna do? It's like throwing good money after bad 🤑. They should just be upfront about it and say "we might not save Scunthorpe" and move on. But no, they gotta keep throwing in the towel 💪. It's a shame, too - steel is such an important industry. I hope someone steps up soon or else... 😬
