I'm still trying to wrap my head around this whole government shutdown thing 
It's crazy that it lasted 43 days, I mean what even is a record-breaking number for something like this? 
Either way, I feel bad for the people who lost their jobs during that time. On a positive note, the fact that some Democrats got stuff done on healthcare and food assistance is a win in my book 
And it's interesting to see how this whole thing might play out in the midterms - if Republicans can come together to address health care costs, that could be a game changer

i personally think its a mixed bag tho they got some things right like extension of food assistance payments & subsidies 4 health care but on the other hand, it was only 6 weeks 4 gods sake! u can't even get anything done in that time frame? 
. On one hand, I'm glad that some Democrats were able to negotiate an end to the shutdown without losing their minds 
. And now we're just gonna have to wait and see if Republicans can get their act together on healthcare 
. I mean, it's not like they've ever been super reliable on that front...
