What Democrats say they won in the 43-day government shutdown

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this whole government shutdown thing 🤯 It's crazy that it lasted 43 days, I mean what even is a record-breaking number for something like this? 😂 Either way, I feel bad for the people who lost their jobs during that time. On a positive note, the fact that some Democrats got stuff done on healthcare and food assistance is a win in my book 🍔🥗 And it's interesting to see how this whole thing might play out in the midterms - if Republicans can come together to address health care costs, that could be a game changer 💡

omg u guys idk wut 2 make of dis deal... some ppl think its a major win 4 democrats but others r like "yaaas let's go" 🤩👏 i personally think its a mixed bag tho they got some things right like extension of food assistance payments & subsidies 4 health care but on the other hand, it was only 6 weeks 4 gods sake! u can't even get anything done in that time frame? 🙄💔

I dunno... I think this whole thing was a bit of a mixed bag 🤔. On one hand, I'm glad that some Democrats were able to negotiate an end to the shutdown without losing their minds 😂. And yeah, it's definitely good that federal workers who got laid off will get some temporary pay back. But at the same time, I'm kinda disappointed that some of my Democratic friends voted for the deal - they're always going on about how we need to "stand up" for our values and all that 💁‍♀️. And now we're just gonna have to wait and see if Republicans can get their act together on healthcare 🤞. I mean, it's not like they've ever been super reliable on that front... 😐
