What is Modella Capital? Firm in spotlight as Claire's and The Original Factory Shop face collapse

I'm still super stoked about Modella Capital, tbh 🤩! They're like, really brave taking on these retailers with so much at stake. I mean, 10k employees is no joke! 💼 And yeah, their approach might be a bit unconventional, but hey, it's worked for some of the other businesses they've taken over, right? 📈

I think people are just getting a little too hasty to write off Modella as a complete failure 🙅‍♂️. They're not your average retail investors; they're like, actual turnaround experts 💼! And Jamie Constable's got some serious street cred under his belt 🎩.

Plus, let's be real, the UK high street is in shambles rn 😩. Anybody who's taken on retailers and come out on top is basically a hero in my book 🙌! So, even if Modella does stumble, I'll still be rooting for 'em 💪

omg u no wut i'm thinking? like modella capital seems so on fleek at 1st but then they start taking over troubled retailers nd it's all so confusing lol. they're like "oh we'll save these businesses" but then they close half the stores nd ppl r all worried bout those 2550 jobs... like wut went wrong? 🤔

annd i feel 4 them restructuring pros who started modella, they sound super qualified nd stuff but is it true they don't really know how to handle the day2day stuff? like, retail r not just about taking risks nd being proactive, u gotta also care bout the ppl working there nd the customers nd all that... 💸

anywayz, modella capital's got a lot 2 prove now if they wanna keep their rep. i hope they figure it out bc i dont want to see those retailers fail 😔

🤔 This whole thing feels like a ticking time bomb to me... I mean, they're taking control of struggling retailers left and right without really showing if they know what they're doing. 10,000 employees at risk is no joke 🚨. It's one thing to swoop in with CVAs and close underperforming stores, but the real challenge is trying to turn around these businesses. And now that Claire's is on the line, I'm worried we'll see a repeat of the problems they've had in the past. The industry expert said something that really stuck out to me - "I'm not sure they have got many people who understand the trading of businesses"... yeah, that's a pretty big concern 🤷‍♂️

🤔 I'm not sure if Modella Capital is being too aggressive with their approach to turnaround strategies... they're taking on a lot of risk by using CVAs to close underperforming stores, which might just push some good people out of jobs 🚫. And now that Claire's is expected to step away from the UK market, I wonder if Modella has a plan B in place 😬. Industry insiders are right to question their expertise - it's one thing to acquire struggling retailers, but how much experience do they have with actually running the businesses? 💼👀
