Metro Detroiters, get ready for a week of art, music, and history. Stacey MacLeod's black-and-white visual artwork will be on display in Motor City Brew's one-night-only exhibition, VANTA. The show takes its name from the "blackest black" coating known as Vantablack, reflecting MacLeod's fascination with light and dark contrast. From November 5th to 11th, experience the power of a composition that balances darkness with life.
On Wednesday, head to Motor City Brewing Works for an evening of music and art. Stacey MacLeod will showcase her new ink drawings, while local musician John Krautner performs tracks from his latest album Cinnamon Lake. Tickets are just $10.
Next up, the Collective is launching a jazz series featuring singer Sky Covington and November Fourth. The series kicks off with a three-night residency at The Collective on Detroit's west side. Catch Sky Covington and November Fourth performing live on Thursday, Nov. 6.

but i gotta say, i'm a bit skeptical about the whole VANTA exhibition. i mean, it's cool that Stacey MacLeod is showcasing her artwork and all, but $10 for one night? might be a bit steep if you ask me 
. on the other hand, i love the idea of the jazz series at The Collective - Sky Covington and November Fourth are always amazing live 
. and hey, the Mini Hip-Hop Museum's pop-up sounds like a fun way to spend the weekend with old-school hip-hop vibes
