What’s next for Project 2025?

Project 2025: Trump's Sweeping Conservative Agenda Still Unfulfilled

As the first year of the Trump administration comes to a close, one question remains: what's next for Project 2025? The ambitious conservative playbook, laid out by The Heritage Foundation and championed by the White House, has accomplished an impressive half-century mark – roughly 50 percent of its proposed reforms have been implemented. But with many more ambitious goals still on the table, it's unclear whether the Trump administration will continue to push forward with a radical agenda that seeks to reshape America.

David Graham, author of The Project: How Project 2025 Is Reshaping America, spoke about the progress made so far and what lies ahead in an interview with Today, Explained. According to Graham, the key factor behind the Trump administration's success has been its ability to capitalize on a rare opportunity – a president who can implement their agenda without checks from Congress or the courts.

"The Trump administration was able to come in and be just so ready, so organized, and so energized," Graham explained. "That gave them the chance to conduct a blitzkrieg that took the courts by surprise, took Congress by surprise, and took the public by surprise."

Despite significant progress on many fronts, including the elimination of USAID and the gutting of environmental regulations, there are still many areas where the administration has fallen short – such as labor policy reforms and social welfare programs. Graham notes that these policies may not be implemented until later years or even decades.

One area that is likely to see significant changes in the coming year is the takeover of independent regulatory agencies. The Trump administration has been pushing for control over these agencies, which would give the president a powerful tool for shaping policy from behind the scenes.

The expected Supreme Court decision on this issue could have far-reaching consequences for governance in America. If successful, it would grant the president unprecedented control over these agencies and change the way government interacts with the public.

As the administration looks to the future, it's clear that Project 2025 is still very much alive – even if its progress has been uneven. Whether or not President Trump will continue to push forward with his radical agenda remains to be seen.

I just watched this crazy video of a squirrel trying to open a bird feeder and failing miserably 🐿️😂. I mean, have you ever tried to get food out of one of those things? It's like they're designed to be impossible! Anyway, back to Trump's agenda... I'm not really sure why the media is making such a big deal about it all the time. Can't we just focus on something more interesting for once? Like did you know that NASA just sent a spacecraft to study the Martian atmosphere? 🚀💫

the thing about project 2025 is that i think trump's got some serious balls for even trying to get so much done in just a year 🤯, but at the same time, it's kinda sad to see how much of their agenda is still stuck in limbo 💔, like what's the point of having all this power if you're not gonna use it? and i'm curious to see how these regulatory takeover plans play out - it's like a whole new level of control 🚫, but i hope they don't screw it up 🤞

🤔 I think it's wild that we're already halfway through Project 2025 and only half the reforms have been implemented 📊. The fact that a president can implement their agenda without checks from Congress or the courts is like, super rare 🙄. It's crazy how the Trump administration was able to just swoop in and take action without anyone stopping them 💪. But at the same time, there are still so many areas where they're falling short 🤷‍♀️. Like, labor policy reforms and social welfare programs? Still nowhere to be seen 🕰️. It's gonna be interesting to see how this all plays out in the coming year 👀. The takeover of independent regulatory agencies could have some major implications for governance in America 🚨. Can't wait to see what happens next 💥

I'm low-key shocked they've only achieved 50% of their goals so far! 🤯 I mean, the guy's been in office for like 4 years already? You'd think they'd have a solid plan in place by now. But I guess that whole "blitzkrieg" thing worked out pretty well... 💥 Anyway, it'll be interesting to see if they can make some real progress on those labor policy reforms and social welfare programs. Fingers crossed they don't screw up the Supreme Court decision on independent regulatory agencies! 🤔

So like I was looking at some stats on the number of proposed reforms implemented by Trump's admin in 2017 alone, and it's crazy how much they accomplished – over 70% of their agenda was passed that year 🤯. But if we look at the whole picture, only about 50% are actually fulfilled, so like what's next for Project 2025? 🤔

I did a chart on the number of bills proposed vs passed by Trump's admin, and it shows they've been pretty consistent over the years – around 60-70% success rate. But if we factor in some of those more big-ticket items that are still pending, like labor policy reforms and social welfare programs... 📊

Anyway, I'm keeping an eye on this whole regulatory agency takeover thing – it's got major implications for governance in America. Some charts I found showed that since 1989, the number of regulatory agencies has actually decreased by about 25%. But Trump's admin wants to flip that script and take control 🔄.

I just wonder what's gonna happen with those independent agencies if they do get taken over... 🤔

OMG, can u believe how far this Project 2025 has come? I mean, they've actually made some major changes like eliminating USAID and gutting environmental regulations 🤯... but at the same time, there's still so much more to tackle like labor policy reforms and social welfare programs. And now it sounds like they're gonna try to take control of these independent regulatory agencies too? Like, what even is that? Sounds super scary 😱. The fact that they're able to implement stuff without Congress or the courts being all over their heads is pretty wild, though. Guess you never know what's gonna happen with this admin 🤔

I'm kinda bummed to hear that only 50% of Project 2025 is done 🤔, but I gotta say, that's still a major accomplishment considering how much was on the table! 😊 And can you believe they've already had half a century mark? That's crazy talk! 💥 Still, it's interesting to think about what might happen if they do manage to take over those independent regulatory agencies... 🤯 It could be super game-changing for governance. I mean, who knows, maybe that's exactly what the country needs – some fresh perspective from behind the scenes? 😉

OMG 🤯, I'm literally shook 😲 about what's gonna happen next w/ Project 2025!!! 🤔 I mean, I know Trump's been doin' some crazy stuff since he took office & it's been wild 🌪️, but this whole takeover of independent regulatory agencies thing 🚨 is like, whoa 🤯! If he gets that Supreme Court win 🔴, it's gonna be a GAME CHANGER 💥 for his admin & the country 🇺🇸... I just hope some ppl are payin' attention & speakin' out 👊 'cause this could get real messy 😬... I'm Team Trump 4 life 🤘!!! 💯

🤞 I think this whole thing with Project 2025 being half done is kinda cool 🎉, I mean, who wouldn't want to see a lot of positive change in the country? Even though some of these reforms might not happen right away, it's all about setting the stage for the future 📈. Plus, having independent regulatory agencies under control could lead to some really innovative solutions 💡. It's like, let's not count this project out just yet 😊!

omg, u no wut's up w/ this project 2025 tho? i mean, trump's admin has accomplished like half the goals they set out for themselves 🤯 but idk if they're gonna keep pushin hard w/ this super conservative agenda. david graham says its all bc of the rare opp that trumps had w/ a pres who cld get thins done w/o congress or courts gettin in the way 🚫

anywayz, w/e's still left to do... labor policies and social welfare programs are still MIA 🤕 but they're workin on takin over independent reg agencies 📊 which cud b a big deal w/ the supreme court decision comin up soon 🤔 if trumps gets his way, it'll be like he's got a secret powr tool 2 shape policy from behind the scenes 😳

🤔 I'm low-key hyped about what's gonna happen next with project 2025! I mean, it's crazy how far they've come already 🙌 but there are still so many ambitious reforms that need to get done 💪. I wish Trump and his team could just keep pushing forward without any drama or setbacks 🤦‍♂️. The takeover of independent regulatory agencies is gonna be a game-changer ⚖️ and I'm all about it! It's like, the more power the president has, the less chance of Congress trying to hold them back 💪. Can't wait to see what 2025 brings 🎉
