Which brollies make sturdy investments and which are flimsy flappers? I hiked up a Peak District hill to find out

I mean, have you ever tried to buy an umbrella for those crazy British winds? It's like they're designed to turn inside out the second it gets windy! I remember last winter, I bought this super cheap one and it literally fell apart after 2 uses. But then I saw that article about these top brands that can actually withstand the gusts... now I'm thinking of splurging on a fancy one for next winter

I totally get why investing in a good umbrella can be such a challenge 🌂️... I mean, who hasn't been there, right? Like, I remember this one time when I went hiking with friends and we got absolutely thrashed by the wind... my old crappy umbrella literally fell apart on me 😂. But anyway, back to the article... it's so true that you get what you pay for, right? I mean, if you're gonna shell out £60, expect a top-notch product 💯. I think it's also interesting that they tested 15 different umbrellas... that's like, whoa 😮. It's crazy how some of those cheaper ones just can't handle the British weather 🤣.

I totally feel you on that! I remember this one time when I was on a hike in the mountains and got caught in a freak storm 🌨️. My trusty old umbrella literally turned inside out in like, 2 seconds! I was soaked to the bone and had to take shelter in a nearby cave. Needless to say, I won't be investing in any more of those flimsy ones anytime soon 😂. For me, it's all about spending that extra cash on something that'll last, you know? Even if it means breaking the bank every now and then.
