I'm not surprised by this move from the US. It feels like they're trying to rewrite history about their handling of COVID-19. I mean, come on, they were one of the first countries to be hit hard, yet they still managed to mess things up big time.

The WHO's reaction is totally justified β it's clear that Trump's admin was more interested in covering their own backsides than working with the global community.
It's also pretty ironic that they're complaining about the WHO not sharing information when they were the ones spreading conspiracy theories and misinformation about vaccines.

And let's be real, if anyone deserves to be called out for "failures" during the pandemic, it's Trump himself and his team.
But what really gets me is that this decision was made without any input from the American people or their elected representatives. It's like they're trying to impose their own brand of healthcare on the world without considering the consequences.

I just hope other countries don't follow suit, because we can't afford to lose a global body like the WHO right now.
As someone who's always nostalgic for the good old days, it pains me to see the US pulling away from the rest of the world on issues that require cooperation and diplomacy. We need more international collaboration, not less!
