but seriously isn't it just patching up the symptoms instead of dealing with the root cause? 
air pollution is a huge issue in india and we need real solutions not some experimental technique that might not even work 
i mean what about all the other ways to tackle pollution like reducing emissions or investing in green energy?

It sounds like a bunch of hocus pocus to me. The idea that releasing salt into the clouds will magically make it rain is just not believable. And don't even get me started on the potential harm it could cause to the ecosystem... I mean, who knows what kind of long-term effects this could have on the environment? 
It's like they're throwing a bunch of band-aids at the problem instead of addressing the root cause. And what's with the lack of concrete results so far? It just seems like a publicity stunt to me...
