just saw this news about california and its crazy that people are getting poisoned from those death cap mushrooms they should post more signs in other areas not just sonoma county lol maybe they can also start a social media campaign to spread awareness i think it's also important to note that some of these cases might be due to people eating bad ones on purpose which is really irresponsible

Ugh, I'm so tired of these "wild mushroom foraging" threads always popping up in our forum . Can't people just be more cautious and do their research before trying to go on a wild mushroom hunt? It's not like it's a new trend or something... we've been warning about the dangers of poisonous mushrooms for years!

And can health officials please stop being so casual with the warnings? "Early signs may begin within 6-24 hours" is not exactly reassuring when you're dealing with potentially deadly toxins . And what's up with the lack of proper resources and information on our forum about this topic? I swear, every time we have a thread about wild mushrooms, it ends in someone getting poisoned or worse...

And have you seen those signs they're posting in immigrant communities to raise awareness? "Be careful, death cap mushrooms are poisonous"? Really? That's like saying "Beware of water". Can't they just say something more specific and helpful?

man i feel so bad for those who got poisoned by these deadly mushrooms its like they just wanted to go for a hike or cook up some wild mushrooms without knowing the risks... anyone who says they're an expert on foraging gotta be careful, these death caps are sneaky and can ruin your life in seconds

i guess this is a good reminder to just stick to buying mushroom from the store if u dont no what ur doing at least thats what i plan to do from now on... its not worth risking ur life for some wild mushrooms

I'm really worried about people foraging for wild mushrooms in California right now. It's just not worth the risk . omg u guys, have u seen the news about california's wild mushroom poisonings?? it's like, super deadly rn! 3 ppl confirmed dead & 35 poisoned already this year liver transplants on ppl who got poisoned too . i mean, i know some ppl love foraging for wild mushrooms but omg, the risks are REAL death cap mushrooms r like, everywhere this year & they're super toxic . u gotta be so careful when picking ur wild mushrooms 4 sure!

i'm all about spreading awareness rn so let's get the word out there ppl need 2 know the dangers of foraging for wild mushrooms before it's too late . i mean, why take the risk when u can eat some beautiful & edible varieties instead?
