Withings’ $380 toilet-mounted urine analyzer is finally ready to buy

Withings' U-Scan Urine Analyzer Now Available for $379.95, a Price to Match the Fancy

After nearly three years of anticipation, Withings is finally making its at-home urine analyzer, U-Scan, available for purchase. The device, which sits in your toilet bowl, tests your first splash of pee to assess nutritional or kidney health. The results are sent to the Withings app, allowing you to track your urine quality over time.

U-Scan's initial launch features two cartridges: Nutrio and Calci. Nutrio examines pH levels, specific gravity, ketones, and vitamin C in your urine to gauge how well you're responding to nutrition. This feature will be particularly useful for those taking GLP-1 medication for weight loss, helping them monitor changes to their diet's impact on their body.

Calci, on the other hand, tracks pH levels, specific gravity, and calcium levels to assess kidney stone risk. With a hefty price tag of $379.95, this toilet-mounted gadget is an investment that requires careful consideration.

Withings' pricing model breaks down into two tiers: Proactive and Intensive. The Proactive plan offers 2-4 analyses per week for $449.96, while the Intensive plan runs near-daily for a whopping $599.92. Replacement cartridges are also priced according to these plans, ranging from $99.95 to $179.95.

To sweeten the deal, Withings is including access to its premium app, Withings+, which offers personalized coaching sessions with registered dieticians available nationwide.

I'm thinking of getting one of these U-Scan thingies but its like they're charging me for pee lol 🤣 I mean, who pays 379 bucks for a device that just sits in the toilet bowl? And the plans are crazy too! I don't want to be stuck on some weekly plan where I have to think about what I drank yesterday. Can someone tell me how it actually works? Like, does it really give you info after just one splash of pee? 🤔

omg I'm so confused about this thing 🤔...I mean I get why someone would wanna know if their pee is healthy or whatever but $379.95 is a lot of cash 💸 especially when you can just go to the doctor for that kinda info and pay like half the price...I guess it's cool that it comes with an app tho and all that, but is it really worth the investment? 🤷‍♀️ I feel like some people would be super into this kinda thing, but others would just be like "meh" 💁‍♀️ does anyone actually use this stuff for weight loss or kidney health or is it more like a luxury gadget? 🤔

I'm not sure I'd waste my cash on this thing. $379.95 for a urine analyzer that sits in your toilet bowl? It's just too much for me. And the price of those replacement cartridges? $99.95 to $179.95? That's just crazy talk! 🤑 What if it's not even accurate? I mean, how do you know the results aren't skewed by, say, a certain amount of coffee or red wine? 🍵👀 And the plans they're offering? Proactive and Intensive? Sounds like just another way to nickel-and-dime people. Can't we just get a simple at-home test for a reasonable price? I'm not convinced this thing is worth it, especially when you consider how much some of these tests are already available at our local clinics... 🤔

omg this thing is like something out of a sci-fi movie 🚀! i'm not sure if it's worth the price tag tho...i mean $379 for a toilet-mounted gadget? that's just crazy 💸 but at the same time, being able to track your urine quality and monitor your health from home sounds super convenient 👍. i guess what's got me thinking is how this could be useful for people with kidney disease or those taking certain medications...anyway, can't wait to see what other features it has! 💡

OMG, $379.95 for a toilet-mounted urinalysis tool? That's like buying a decent laptop and expecting it to cost half of that! 🤯 I'm all for innovation, but are people really gonna shell out that cash for a device that just tells them if they're drinking enough water or not? 😂 And what's with the two-tiered pricing model? Proactive plan is like "I'll just get by" and Intensive plan is like "I'm gonna freak out if my numbers aren't perfect" 📊💦

OMG u guys this thing U-Scan is like totally pricey idk how much i can justify spending 379.95 on a toilet gadget lol but at the same time if it really helps me monitor my health and figure out why im always tired or feeling crampy all the time id be down to give it a try 🤔

i mean what is up with the price plans tho? its like they want u to shell out extra cash for more frequent tests but honestly who can afford that even if they wanna track their urine quality 24/7 💸

and omg the premium app sounds AMAZING i need personalized coaching sessions from registered dieticians stat 🤩 but at the same time $449.96 for a weekly plan is waaaay too much 😂

omg u guys!! 🤯 i just heard about this new at-home urine analyzer from Withings and it's literally life changing!!! $379.95 may seem steep but think about all the money u'll save on doctor visits & lab tests! plus, having ur own mini lab in ur toilet bowl is EVERYTHING 😂🚽 u can track ur nutritional & kidney health over time with their app & get personalized coaching sessions from registered dieticians? yaaas please!! 👏 the only con i can think of is the price of replacement cartridges, but i guess that's a small price 2 pay for ur own health guru 🤓👍

omg I gotta say I'm kinda surprised by the price of this thing 🤯 it's like they're trying to make a fortune off people's health concerns! but at the same time I get why people would wanna know their urine quality, especially if you've got kidney issues or are on meds for weight loss 💊 that app does sound pretty useful tho and having access to registered dieticians is a nice touch 🤝 I'm not sure if it's worth the cash though... maybe just stick to checking your pee in a cup like normal people 😂

I'm low-key impressed by this U-Scan thingy! 🤔 I mean, who wouldn't want to know exactly what's goin' on in their pee? 😂 It's like havin' a personal health butler, minus the fancy title and higher salary 😂. But seriously, the fact that it's available at home is a game-changer for people with kidney issues or those on specific diets.

I'm also stoked about the free premium app and personalized coaching sessions 🙌. That's some top-notch customer service right there! And I gotta give Withings credit, their pricing model might be steep, but it's worth it for the peace of mind that comes with knowin' exactly what's goin' on in your body.

It's also interesting to see how this technology could change the way we think about our health and wellness 🌈. I mean, we're finally startin' to catch up with all those fancy lab tests and doctor visits... now we can just do it from the comfort of our own toilets 🚽!

omg this thing is so fancy 🤯, like a mini lab in ur toilet bowl lol but 379.95?? that's insane 💸, can u imagine buying a whole new phone for that price? 😂 anyway its cool that they're including access to withings+ app which sounds super helpful if ur trying to lose weight or manage kidney health 💪

Ugh, gotta say, that price tag for U-Scan is crazy 💸! I mean, I get it's a fancy device that can give you insights into your urine health, but $379.95 seems like a lot to ask. And then there's the subscription plans... that's just steep 🤯. For me, it's just not worth the investment. What's next? A toilet-mounted analyzer for poop quality? 😂 I'm good with my regular doctor visits and lab tests, no need for some fancy at-home gadget. But hey, to each their own!

omg u guys this thing sounds super useful for people tracking their health 🤯 like it's a game changer for those taking medication or wanting to monitor their diet! $379.95 might be pricey but think about all the potential insights u can gain from ur own pee 💦, and having access to registered dieticians thru Withings+ is the cherry on top 🎁 gotta say i'm excited to see more ppl incorporating tech into their self-care routine 👍

I gotta say, this thing looks like a total game-changer for people trying to keep tabs on their health... but that price tag? 😱 It's like they're expecting everyone to be a millionaire or something! I mean, I get it, it's an investment in your well-being, but $379.95 is just crazy talk. And don't even get me started on the premium app – personalized coaching sessions with registered dieticians? That sounds awesome, but only if you can actually afford it. Still, I suppose for people who are really into tracking their urine quality (um, weirdos like me?), this thing might be worth a shot. Just hope they release some discounts soon... or maybe just offer free samples to try before you buy! 💸🚽

🤔 The price for this thing is wild... like, who's gonna spend that much on a toilet analyzer? I mean, I know some people would, but it's just not justified in my opinion 🚽. And what's up with the two-tiered pricing model? It feels like they're trying to nickel and dime you 🤑. Still, if you've got the cash to burn and are worried about your health, I guess this thing might be worth considering 🤷‍♀️. The fact that it comes with personalized coaching sessions is actually kinda cool 💡.

Omg yaaas this thing is SO cool!! I'm all about staying on top of my health and this thing does it all at home! I know $379.95 might seem steep, but think about how much money you'll save not having to go to the doctor as often... plus you get that awesome Withings+ app with personalized coaching sessions? Game changer for me!

I remember when we used to use those old stick strips for pee tests in school 🤣... Fast forward to this fancy new U-Scan thingy and it's like something straight out of a sci-fi movie! I'm not sure if the price is totally worth it, $379.95 seems steep even for someone who's super into their health 🤑. But hey, if it can give you personalized coaching sessions with dieticians, that's definitely a plus 🙌. I just hope they'll make some discounts available in the future so more people can afford it 💸. And what's up with the two-tier pricing? That seems like a lot of extra money for me 🤑...

I'm so stoked to see companies like Withings pushing the boundaries of health tech! This U-Scan thingy sounds like a game-changer for people who wanna keep tabs on their urine quality 🤯. I mean, not everyone needs to pay $379.95 for a toilet-mounted gadget, but for those who do, this could be super valuable info 💸.

I'm also loving the idea of personalized coaching sessions with registered dieticians – that's like having a health concierge built right into your app 🤝! And I gotta say, the fact that Withings is including all these features with the purchase price is pretty generous 😊. Now, if only it was affordable for everyone... but hey, progress is slow, right? ⏱️

I'm kinda skeptical about this U-Scan thingy 🤔... it's like they're trying to make a pretty penny off people's pee 💦. $379.95 is a lot of cash for something that just sits in your toilet bowl, waiting for you to do your business 😂. And what if the thing breaks or doesn't work properly? Who's gonna help me out then? 🤷‍♂️

I guess it's kinda cool that they're including access to this Withings+ app with personalized coaching sessions and all that jazz 💻. But for me, I'd rather just get my pee checked at the doctor's office or a lab where I know they'll actually be able to do something useful with the results 🏥.

I mean, I'm not saying it's a bad idea or anything... but is there really that much money to be made from people being more aware of their urine quality? 💸

omg u guys this thing is like $380?? 🤑 i dont know if thats worth it but its kinda cool that u can test ur own pee in the toilet bowl lol what does it even do again? something to do w/ nutritional health and kidney stuff? 💊 my grandma has kidney problems so i wonder if this could help her... also why is it so expensive? 🤔 can we get a discount or something? 💸
