Zoe Atkin claims World Cup silver at freeski halfpipe event in Aspen

Zoe Atkin Secures Silver at Freeski Halfpipe Event in Aspen, Eyes Winter Olympics Glory

British freestyle skier Zoe Atkin claimed a silver medal in the freeski halfpipe event at the US Grand Prix in Aspen, rounding off an impressive weekend that saw her secure her second World Cup podium of the year.

Finishing 0.25 points behind China's Li Fanghui in the finals, who scored a perfect 93.00, Atkin took to the podium with a score of 92.75. Third-placed Kexin Zhang of China trailed behind with 88.75.

Despite falling short of the top spot, Atkin expressed her satisfaction with securing another podium at the World Cup event preceding the Winter Olympics next month. "I'm feeling super confident, really excited to get back to training and work on a couple of new things in preparation for the Games," she stated.

This latest success follows on from her previous podium finishes, including silver at the Secret Garden in China and gold at Copper Mountain in Colorado in December. Atkin will now turn her attention to preparing for the Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, which take place from February 6-22.

So Zoe Atkin is on fire this season! I mean, two World Cup podiums already and she's still got a couple of months to go before the Olympics 🤩💥. It's awesome that she's feeling super confident and excited about preparing for the Games – you can tell she's got her sights set on gold 💪. And I've gotta say, 92.75 is an insane score 😲! Li Fanghui must be pretty nervous having to compete against Zoe now 🤔. Fingers crossed for her at the Olympics – it'd be amazing to see a British freestyle skier bring home some medals 🎉.

.. Zoe Atkin is killin it right now! 🤩 I'm so hyped for her, she's got this Olympic thing on lock 💪. And you know what's even crazier? She's still got a few months to prepare and I think she'll bring home that gold 🏅. Can't wait to see what she comes up with next! Her confidence is totally justified after those podium finishes in China and Colorado 🇨🇳🇺🇸. The girl's on fire 🔥!

🤩 I'm so stoked for Zoe Atkin! She's been on a roll lately and it's awesome to see her getting recognition. That silver medal is a huge deal, especially considering the competition she faced. Li Fanghui's score was insane, but 0.25 points off is still a respectable margin.

What I love about Zoe's attitude is that she's not dwelling on the fact that she didn't win. She's already looking to the future and preparing for the Winter Olympics. That confidence and focus are going to take her far in this sport. And let's be real, having two podium finishes already this year puts her in a great position to make a strong showing in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo.

It's also worth noting that Zoe is an inspiration not just for British skiers, but for anyone who's ever been into freestyle skiing. She's proof that with hard work and dedication, you can achieve your goals and push yourself to new heights. So, let's give it up for this talented young athlete! 💪🏻

I don't usually comment but... I'm so stoked for Zoe Atkin! 🤩 She's been on fire this season and it's awesome to see her hard work paying off. That silver medal in Aspen was a great confidence booster, especially with the Winter Olympics just around the corner. Her focus on perfecting new skills is really inspiring - we're all rooting for you, Zoe! 👍 The competition at those Games is going to be fierce, but I'm sure she's up for the challenge. Let's hope she can bring home that gold medal and make us proud! 🏅

🤯 I'm loving this Zoe Atkin girl's determination! She's like a total boss on that halfpipe 🤸‍♀️. I mean, only 0.25 points behind the winner, and she's still got her head held high 💪. Silver is an awesome achievement, especially with the Olympics just around the corner. She's gotta be psyched to get back into training and work on some new tricks 💥. What a way to stay motivated for the Games! 🏅

So Zoe Atkin's Silver Medal is actually kinda awesome 🤩. I mean, who needs a perfect score when you can still rock the podium? It's all about that confidence and training hard 💪. And let's be real, it's not like she's going to magically become the next halfpipe queen overnight 😜. But hey, at least she's got her sights set on those Winter Olympics 🏅... we'll just have to wait and see how she does under pressure ⏰. China might've gotten that perfect score, but can they handle the pressure of actually winning? 🤔

Aspen thing is happening! 🤩 Zoe Atkin totally deserved that silver medal, she's been crushing it all season. I mean, coming second to Li Fanghui was still a huge achievement, and she's got nothing to be discouraged about. I do think she should work on those new tricks though, because if she wants to take down China at the Winter Olympics, she'll need some serious edge. And can we talk about how awesome it is that we get to see all these amazing athletes pushing themselves to be their best? It's not just about winning or losing, it's about the journey and being part of this incredible community of sports enthusiasts. Anyway, I'm already super hyped for the Winter Olympics, fingers crossed Zoe brings home some gold! 💪

🤔 I'm glad Zoe Atkin is doing well, but like, what's with these scores? 92.75 is pretty close to perfect, right? And 0.25 points behind Li Fanghui... seems a bit suspicious. Still, congrats to her for another podium finish 🎉. Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo next month, that's gonna be lit! 💨 But, I mean, has she been training hard enough? 🤷‍♀️ She needs to keep pushing herself if she wants to take home the gold... ⏱️
