I mean, think about it... we're living in a time where these massive corporations are finally being held accountable for their actions
. It's crazy to think that just a few years ago, nobody even thought twice about the impact social media was having on our youth
. But now, with all this evidence piling up, it's hard to deny that something needs to change
.
I'm not gonna lie, I'm kinda nostalgic for the good old days of dial-up internet and Myspace
. It was all so innocent back then. We didn't have to worry about our mental health or social media addiction
. But I guess that's just the romantic in me talking.
Seriously though, these trials are a huge step forward for society. If we can hold these companies accountable for their role in harming our youth, maybe we can start to create a healthier online environment
. It's time for social media companies to put users' well-being above profits
. Fingers crossed these trials bring about some real change
