Celtic has made three major signings on loan ahead of the second half of the season. Junior Adamu, a 24-year-old Austrian striker, joins from Bundesliga club Freiburg, where he has scored seven goals in 67 appearances. Celtic have an option to buy him in the summer.
Benjamin Arthur, a 22-year-old England youth international, also joins on loan from Premier League outfit Brentford. The centre-half has made just three appearances for the Bees, but Celtic boss Martin O'Neill believes he is "an excellent player" with "real attributes".
Lastly, Joel Mvuka, a 20-year-old Norwegian winger, signs on loan from Lorient in France. Despite having played against Celtic before, in the Conference League in 2022, this will be his first spell at the club.
Adamu, who has nine caps for Austria, is looking to make an impact and help Celtic win the league and Scottish Cup double. Arthur's arrival allows Stephen Welsh to return to Motherwell on loan after being recalled during January.
