Drax insiders privately raised concerns over its sustainability claims, court papers show

man I'm so disheartened by this whole drax saga 🤕 it seems like no matter how hard they try, there are always gonna be doubts about their sustainability claims. and it's not just the environmental impact, but also the fact that they were able to get away with misleading the public and gov for so long 😱 I mean, £7bn in subsidies should've been enough to make them prove their claims, right? 🤷‍♀️

and honestly, it's kinda scary that a former exec had to take drax to court just to get some truth out. rowaa ahmar sounds like a total hero for speaking up 👏 and I'm glad she's getting some compensation for her troubles.

anyway, this whole thing has me thinking about the importance of transparency in business 🤔 can we really trust companies that claim to be sustainable but secretly have skeletons in their closet? 💀

🌿💡 I'm thinking, it's pretty messed up that Drax, this big energy company, was secretly worried about their own sustainability claims 🤔. They got millions of pounds from the government for being eco-friendly, but it turns out they were just making stuff up 💸. And now, one of their ex-executives is taking them to court for lying about it 📝. I mean, isn't transparency supposed to be key when you're claiming to be a responsible company? It's like, if you want us to trust you, you gotta come clean about what you're doing 💬. And £25m in compensation doesn't exactly scream "we're committed to making things right" either 🤑. Anyway, I think this whole thing is a big deal for the energy industry and we need to keep an eye on how Drax handles this situation 🔍.

🤔 I'm kinda surprised that even big companies like Drax can get caught up in this kind of scandal...I mean, they've been touting themselves as a leader on sustainability for ages, but it turns out all these years they were just messing with us 🙄. It's crazy that some ex-executives had to take the company to court for trying to silence them about their concerns. The fact that Ofgem didn't catch on sooner is pretty concerning too...I guess you can never really trust a big corporation to have your best interests at heart 💸.

It's also wild that Drax agreed to pay £25m in compensation without even having to do anything wrong 🤑. It just goes to show how much of a mess the whole thing was, and how easy it is for companies to wriggle out of taking responsibility when they're in trouble 😳. I think we need to be way more vigilant about holding big corporations accountable for their actions...transparency really does matter here 👀

🤔 Drax's whole vibe just turned from "sustainability champion" to " company trying to cover its own tracks". All this internal email drama and court documents showing their former execs were right about those BBC allegations... it's pretty suspicious 🚫

They got caught with their hands in the cookie jar, claiming biomass is sustainable when it clearly ain't. And now they're paying £25m for breaching data governance? That's just a slap on the wrist 💸. Transparency would've been nice, but I guess that's just not part of Drax's brand anymore 😐
