Eagles and Jason Kelce team up with local designers to create Birds gear that raises money for a good cause

Local Designers Collaborate with Philadelphia Eagles, Jason Kelce's Underdog Apparel to Create Limited-Edition Merchandise

In a unique partnership, the Philadelphia Eagles and Jason Kelce's clothing company Underdog Apparel have teamed up with three local designers to create exclusive merchandise that supports a good cause. The collaboration features four limited-edition designs for T-shirts and sweatshirts, which will be sold at the team's pro shops and online.

The first design is courtesy of Eric "HeavySlime" Kenney, an artist featured on HBO's Delco crime drama "Task." His graphic features a skeleton wearing a Super Bowl ring, with the iconic Eagles logo printed in retro font. The phrase "Bury the Doubt," which translates to believing in the team's chances to pull off back-to-back championships, adds a motivational touch.

Kenney, who has been building his reputation as an independent artist for over a decade, calls it gratifying to see his work showcased by the Eagles after being approached about the collaboration. He hopes that this partnership will lead to more artists being involved in NFL teams' merchandise, saying, "It's a good charity, so I'm stoked that it's going to something and not just the NFL's pockets."

The second design comes from Paul Granese, founder of Cracked Bell PHL, an apparel brand inspired by Philly sports lore. A crewneck shirt features a bald eagle clutching the team's Kelly green helmet, while a hoodie showcases retro Eagles graphics on both front and back.

Local folk painter and sculptor Kees Holterman completes the trio with a simple yet bold design: a small Eagles logo on the front and mascot Swoop climbing out of Lincoln Financial Field on the back.

Jason Kelce, now an NFL analyst at ESPN, founded Underdog Apparel in 2022. The brand profits support Be Philly Foundation, an organization Kelce also started that raises money for charities supporting Philadelphia's public schools.

In a statement, Kelce expressed his excitement about the collaboration and said all of Underdog's T-shirts will be made in the United States and designed and printed in Philadelphia, marking the first time the brand's shirts will be directly sold by the Eagles.

I'm low-key impressed with this collab, lol πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ But at the same time, I think it's kinda weird that they're selling merch just to raise money for a good cause... like, why do we need merchandise to support charity? Can't we just donate cash or something? πŸ€‘

And another thing, is it really a good idea to have artists create designs just because the NFL teams are paying them? I mean, shouldn't they be doing this for art's sake, you know? 🎨 It feels kinda like a commercial deal to me... oh wait, maybe I'm just being too cynical πŸ˜’.

Also, I love that all of Underdog's T-shirts will be made in the US and designed in Philly, but can we talk about how "sustainable" this really is? Like, are they using eco-friendly materials or what? 🌿

I don’t usually comment but... this collab is pretty cool 🀩 I mean, who doesn't love seeing local designers get to work with a big-time sports team like the Eagles? It’s awesome that it’s all for a good cause too, supporting Philly schools and all that. I think the designs look sick πŸ‘, especially HeavySlime's skeleton graphic - it’s just so on point 🀘. And I love that Underdog Apparel is keeping it local, making their shirts in the States and designing them in Philly πŸ’Ό. It’s a win-win for everyone involved!

I gotta say, this collab is fire πŸ’₯! I love how local designers like Kenney, Granese, and Holterman are gettin' a shoutout for their sick art 🀩. It's awesome that it's all goin' to support a good cause too πŸ™Œ. Kelce's Underdog Apparel is doin' its part by keepin' it local, makin' all the shirts in the USA and designin' 'em right here in Philly πŸ’ͺ. The designs are so fresh too - I'm low-key lovin' that skeleton Super Bowl ring πŸ˜‚. Can't wait to cop some of these limited-edition merch when they drop online πŸ‘•

🀩 I'm loving this collab, it's like a superhero origin story for local designers - from independent artists to NFL teams' merchandise! Eric "HeavySlime" Kenney's design is fire, and Paul Granese's crewneck shirt with the bald eagle clutching the helmet gives me major throwback vibes. And Kees Holterman's simple yet bold logo is so on point. It's dope that Jason Kelce is supporting local talent and Be Philly Foundation too! πŸ’ͺ I'd totally cop those limited-edition merch, especially if they're made in the USA and designed in Phila - that's like a badge of honor for Underdog Apparel. Let's give it up for these creative powers that be, bringing the community together with awesome designs and good causes πŸŽ¨πŸ’Ό

I think it's really cool that the Eagles are teaming up with local designers to create some unique merch. It's a great way for artists like Eric "HeavySlime" Kenney to get their work seen and for fans to rep the team in style 🀩. The fact that all of Underdog Apparel's T-shirts will be made in the US and designed/printed in Philly is also super awesome, it shows Jason Kelce's commitment to supporting local businesses and charities πŸ‘.

I'm not sure why we're getting hyped about this collab, tbh πŸ€”πŸ‘€... it seems like a pretty standard partnership between a sports team and a clothing company. And don't even get me started on how "exclusive" these limited-edition designs are gonna be πŸ˜’. Like, 4 T-shirts and sweatshirts with some local designer's artwork... I'm sure the creators are stoked to have their work showcased, but what's in it for us? πŸ€‘

And what's up with Jason Kelce's ego trip about making all Underdog shirts in the US and designing them in Philly? Is that really something we should be celebrating? It just seems like corporate PR to me πŸ“£... anyway, I guess if you're a die-hard Eagles fan or just wanna cop some swag, go for it πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ. But let's not get too carried away here πŸ’β€β™€οΈ

I'm stoked to see designers from our local scene gettin' the love from the Philly Eagles! πŸ¦…πŸ’» This collab is more than just merch, it's about supportin' a good cause and creatin' somethin' new and fresh for fans. I mean, who wouldn't wanna rep their team with a sick design from Eric "HeavySlime" Kenney or Paul Granese? 🀯

But what really gets me excited is that this partnership is gonna lead to more artists gettin' involved in the NFL teams' merch game. Jason Kelce's Underdog Apparel is doin' somethin' right, supportin' local talent and makin' a difference through the Be Philly Foundation. πŸ‘

I can already imagine these limited-edition designs flyin' off the shelves! πŸ›οΈπŸ‘• The retro font and bold graphics are gonna be fire on those T-shirts and sweatshirts. I'm hyped to cop one (or two, or three...) and show my support for local designers and a good cause. πŸ’ΈπŸŽ¨

I don't get why people are so hyped about this collab πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ. I mean, it's just merch for a sports team... how original πŸ˜’. And what's with the fancy charity aspect? It's not like anyone's going to be motivated by a logo on their shirt because some artist is donating to a cause πŸ’Έ. Can't these designers just create something sick without trying to sell out to the highest bidder? πŸ€ͺ

Idk why people think they need to collaborate with local designers just because it's a 'good charity'. I mean, can't Jason Kelce just sponsor artists or something? This whole thing is like, so extra πŸ™„. Also, what's up with the limited edition designs? Can't they just make more and sell it online like normal? And btw, I don't get why people are hyped about a crewneck shirt with an eagle clutching a helmet πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ. Give me a break, it's just merch.

🀣 so this is what happens when you combine a football team with some local designers... I guess that's one way to make merch go from bland to grand. πŸ€‘ and btw, I'm low-key happy they're donating to Be Philly Foundation - those public schools in Phila need all the love πŸ’•

I'm low-key hyped about this collab! 🀩 It's dope to see local designers gettin' love from the Eagles, especially when it's all for a good cause 😊. I mean, Jason Kelce is already doin' some awesome work with Be Philly Foundation and Underdog Apparel, so it's cool that they're givin' back to the community by supportin' local artists 🎨.

I gotta say, Eric Kenney's skeleton graphic is straight fire πŸ”₯! And Paul Granese's use of retro graphics on both front and back for his hoodie design is genius πŸ‘€. But what I'm most excited about is that this collab could be the start of somethin' bigger – more artists gettin' involved with NFL teams' merchandise, and it's all about supportin' charities that make a difference 🌟.

It's also awesome that Underdog Apparel is makin' all its T-shirts in the US and designin' 'em in Philly πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ. That's some good ol' American ingenuity right there πŸ’ͺ. I'm keepin' an eye on this collab and see how it goes – fingers crossed it inspires more awesome collaborations! πŸ‘

omg, I'm totes stoked for these local designers to get some love from the Eagles 🀩🎨 i mean, it's about time the NFL teams started showcasing some Philly talent πŸ™ƒ and supporting the community at the same time is just too cute 😊 Kees Holterman's design is literally the most chill thing I've ever seen πŸ‘Œ who wouldn't wanna buy a hoodie with Swoop climbing out of Lincoln Financial Field? πŸ’€ anyway, it's awesome that Jason Kelce's Underdog Apparel is keeping it local and supporting Philly's public schools πŸ’ͺ🏼 let's get those Eagles fans shopping 'til they drop πŸ›οΈ

I think it's dope that these local designers got a chance to collaborate with the Eagles and Jason Kelce's Underdog Apparel 🀝🏽! I mean, who doesn't love some sick NFL merch? 😎 The designs look fire, especially Eric Kenney's skeleton graphic - it's like, motivational vibes all day, every day πŸ’ͺ. And I'm loving how the brand is committed to making shirts in the US and printing them right here in Philly πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ. It's great to see Jason Kelce supporting his local community through Be Philly Foundation πŸ’•. I just hope they make some of these designs available online so more people can cop 'em πŸ‘—!

omg I'm low-key obsessed w/ this collab πŸ˜πŸ¦…! it's so cool to see local designers gettin' some love & makin' merch for the Eagles πŸ™ŒπŸ’Ό Jason Kelce is killin' it with his charity work too πŸ‘, and now we're gonna get our hands on these sick limited-edition tees πŸ›οΈπŸ‘• can't wait 2 cop one ASAP πŸ’Έ

I'm so down with this collab, but at the same time, I don't know if it's too commercialized... πŸ€” Like, shouldn't some of that cash go to the artists instead of just the NFL? On the other hand, Jason Kelce is literally doing his part for the community and supporting local designers, so that's cool 😊. I mean, who doesn't love a good underdog story (get it?)... The designs look fire, btw, especially the skeleton one - Eric "HeavySlime" Kenney is like a genius 🀯. Maybe this collab will inspire more NFL teams to work with local artists and create some dope merch? πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ It's all good vibes, I guess 😊

I love this collab! 🀩 The merch looks so sick, especially the retro font design by Eric Kenney 😎. It's dope that the profits are going to a good cause and supporting Philly's public schools πŸ‘. I'm not a huge football fan but I gotta rep Jason Kelce now πŸ‘Š. Can't wait to cop some of these limited-edition tees online πŸ’Έ

omg 🀩 this collab is lit πŸ”₯! i love how jason kelce & underdog apparel are supporting a good cause πŸ’– and collaborating with local designers 🎨 it's all about giving back to philly πŸŒ† can't wait to cop these limited-edition merchies πŸ‘•πŸ‘– hope they're affordable enough for fans on a budget πŸ’Έ

πŸ€” I'm loving this collab between the Eagles and Jason Kelce's Underdog Apparel! Not only do we get some dope new merch, but it's also supporting a great cause πŸˆπŸ’–. I mean, it's awesome that local designers are getting their art showcased on NFL gear. Eric "HeavySlime" Kenney's design is straight fire πŸ”₯ and I love the message behind it. It's all about believing in your team and not giving up. The fact that Underdog Apparel is committed to making their shirts in the US and designing them in Philly is also super cool 🎨. Let's keep supporting local talent and charitable causes - that's what it's all about! πŸ‘
