"Got to be kidding me": Crockett roasts MTG over resignation

Rep. Jasmine Crockett Slams MTG as "Instigator" Who Can't Take the Heat After Her Shocking Resignation

Democrat Rep. Jasmine Crockett is leaving it to her colleagues to pick up the pieces of Texas Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's sudden retirement, but she made sure to throw some shade in the process.

When asked about Greene's decision to step down following a tumultuous week with President Donald Trump, Crockett let out an exasperated sigh and said, "You've got to be kidding me." The firebrand Democrat can't believe that Greene folded under pressure, especially when compared to other Republicans who faced similar criticism from the president.

Crockett drew a stark contrast between Greene's reaction and her own colleagues, saying they were able to weather the storm after being targeted by Trump. "He's upset with Thomas Massie, and so he's gone after him," Crockett pointed out. "He's upset with Boebert. He's upset with any Republican that actually signed the discharge petition." Meanwhile, Greene seemed to be unable to withstand even a little criticism.

In essence, Crockett is calling Greene an "instigator" who can't stand taking her own medicine. The Democrat asked rhetorically, "Now that they're doing it to you, I just got to say, well, why is it that everyone else is able to stand, and you can't?" The blunt response left no doubt about Crockett's opinion on Greene's departure.

Greene had cited being a "battered wife" as her reason for quitting, hoping the situation would improve with time. However, Crockett couldn't help but take issue with this claim, stating that she refuses to be seen as weak-willed by simply stepping away from the heat.

It appears that Greene's sudden resignation is just another casualty of her complicated relationship with Trump. With her departure, it remains to be seen whether the Republican party will learn any lessons from the situation.

๐Ÿ™„ I mean come on, MTG thinking she's a 'battered wife' just because she can't handle some criticism? Like, no offense to people who've been through real abuse, but if you're in Congress and you can't take the heat, that's not a reason for you to step down. It's just politics, girl! ๐Ÿ˜’ Meanwhile, Crockett is right on point about Greene being an 'instigator' who can't stand taking one for the team. Like, hello, you're a public figure, if you can't handle it, maybe stay out of the spotlight? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ But seriously, this whole thing just reeks of desperation and weakness. Can't we have some real leaders in Congress instead of drama queens like Greene? ๐Ÿ’โ€โ™€๏ธ

[Crocodile tears] ๐Ÿ˜ญ

I donโ€™t usually comment but I gotta say, Marjorie Taylor Greeneโ€™s resignation is kinda puzzlinโ€™ ๐Ÿค”. She was always one to stir up drama and now she just up and quits? It's almost like she got played by Trump and couldn't handle it ๐Ÿ’โ€โ™€๏ธ. And using the "battered wife" thing as an excuse? Come on, Rep Crockett isn't buyin' that ๐Ÿ™„. It's clear Greene can't take a joke, but maybe this is just another example of why they need to clean house in the Republican party ๐Ÿšฎ.

๐Ÿ˜’ I'm not surprised that Marjorie Taylor Greene folded under pressure, especially when compared to others who've been through similar situations... it's just a matter of time before you can't take the heat anymore ๐Ÿคฏ She thinks she's a "battered wife" trying to play the victim card? ๐Ÿ™„ Please, Rep. Crockett is right โ€“ if you're gonna stir up trouble and take on Trump, don't be surprised when he comes after you ๐Ÿ’โ€โ™€๏ธ. Greene needs to grow some backbone and stop playing the martyr ๐Ÿ˜’

๐Ÿค” So like I'm reading this and Crockett is calling out MTG for being a total flip-flopper ๐Ÿ”„... I feel kinda bad for Greene actually ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ. Like, she's trying to play the victim card "battered wife" but it just doesn't add up ๐Ÿ’โ€โ™€๏ธ. And honestly, I think Crockett has a point that if you can't take the heat from Trump then maybe you shouldn't be in politics โš ๏ธ. But at the same time, I'm like... what's the real reason she quit? Was it really because of Trump or was it something else? ๐Ÿค”

๐Ÿ™„ Can you believe this? Marjorie Taylor Greene resigns and Rep Crockett is like "good riddance" ๐Ÿคฃ She's not afraid to throw some shade at GTG for being a total wimp when it comes to taking heat from Trump ๐Ÿ’โ€โ™€๏ธ I mean, if she can't handle the drama, then maybe she shouldn't be in politics ๐Ÿ™ƒ Greene's whole "battered wife" thing is just laughable ๐Ÿคฃ and Crockett is right on point with calling her out for it ๐Ÿ‘Š

๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ‘€ so i made a little diagram to illustrate why crockett thinks mtg folded ๐Ÿ™…โ€โ™€๏ธ

๐Ÿ˜’ I'm not surprised at all about Marjorie Taylor Greene stepping down ๐Ÿ™„. It's like she expected everyone else to take a hit for her while she just takes the easy way out ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ. But you know what really got my goat? She trying to spin it as being a "battered wife" ๐Ÿšซ that's just rich coming from someone who thinks conspiracies and lies are okay ๐Ÿ˜’. I mean, can't even take a little criticism from Trump without throwing a tantrum ๐ŸŽ‰. It's like she thought she was above all the drama, but in reality, she's just another politician who can't handle being held accountable ๐Ÿ’โ€โ™€๏ธ. The Republican party needs to figure out why they keep enabling this kind of behavior ๐Ÿ‘€.

๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ Stats on Politician Resignations: ๐Ÿ“‰ 75% of politicians who faced backlash from President Trump ended up quitting their jobs, compared to only 20% of those who didn't receive criticism ๐Ÿ™ƒ. Greene's departure is just the latest example, and Crockett's not buying her "battered wife" excuse ๐Ÿ˜’. The fact that Greene couldn't handle even a little heat says a lot about her strength (or lack thereof) as a politician ๐Ÿ’ช. And let's be real, if other Republicans can take Trump's criticism without losing it, why should we feel sorry for Greene? ๐Ÿค” According to recent surveys, only 22% of Americans support Greene's brand of politics, making her one of the most unpopular politicians in the country ๐Ÿ˜’. Maybe this is just what she needed - a wake-up call from the public ๐Ÿ’ก

omg i feel like MTG is so extra ๐Ÿ™„ she cant even handle the heat and now shes crying about being a "battered wife" lol what a classic move ๐Ÿคฃ imo rep crockett is straight fire calling her out like that tho, Greene needs to stop making excuses and take responsibility for her actions ๐Ÿ’โ€โ™€๏ธ and btw cant wait to see how this all plays out in the republican party ๐Ÿ‘€

๐Ÿค” The way Rep. Crockett tore into MTG is super telling ๐Ÿ“š Think about it, when all these other reps are getting roasted by Trump and they still manage to keep their cool, why does Greene crumble? It's not like she didn't see it coming โฐ And that 'battered wife' excuse? ๐Ÿ™„ Come on, if you're gonna use a metaphor for quitting, at least have the guts to own up to it instead of making it some kinda weakness ๐Ÿ’ช The fact that MTG can't take a joke from Trump and step down is a major red flag for her party - will they learn from this? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

I'm not sure I agree with Rep Crockett here ๐Ÿค”, think MTG's decision to step down was a pretty smart move considering all the drama she'd been surrounded by ๐Ÿ’โ€โ™€๏ธ. Being called out by the President is no joke, and I don't think most people would handle it as well as some of her colleagues. Greene had some serious skeletons in her closet, if you ask me ๐Ÿ•ต๏ธโ€โ™€๏ธ, so maybe this was a necessary exit strategy. Crockett's just trying to stir up more controversy with her "instigator" comments ๐Ÿ˜’, imo.

๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ I mean, come on... can't Marjorie Taylor Greene take a joke? ๐Ÿ˜‚ She's always been a bit of a drama queen, but this is just ridiculous. "Battered wife" excuse? ๐Ÿ™„ Give me a break! It's not like she was actually being abused or anything. Just a convenient way to get out of the spotlight when things got too hot.

And I gotta say, it's pretty rich that Crockett is calling her out on this. ๐Ÿ˜ The girl's been getting roasted by Trump all week and still manages to hold it together. Greene, on the other hand, can't even handle a little criticism without folding under pressure. ๐Ÿคฏ It's almost like she's trying to be some kind of martyr or something.

I don't know about anyone else, but I think Crockett's right on this one. Greene needs to toughen up if she wants to keep playing with the big boys in politics. ๐Ÿ’โ€โ™€๏ธ Otherwise, she'll just be a footnote in history as the politician who couldn't take the heat. ๐Ÿ”ฅ
