This week on "Sunday Morning" (Nov. 23): The Food Issue

Here's a paraphrased version of the article with my own writing style:

This week on "Sunday Morning", we explore the world of food and cooking.

Protein-fueled products are all the rage, but do Americans really need more protein in their diets? According to Lee Cowan, corporate America is more than happy to feed this growing appetite for protein, even if it means forcing people to eat foods they don't enjoy. We'll look at how companies like General Mills are developing new products and whether our bodies can really handle so much extra protein.

Another topic we'll tackle is comfort food - the perfect antidote to a stressful day. Why do we love comfort foods so much, and what's behind their irresistible appeal? Dr. Uma Naidoo, a nutritional psychiatrist, joins us to explore this phenomenon. We'll also visit Murphy's Giving Market in Upper Darby, Pa., which has become a lifeline for families struggling during the pandemic.

We'll also take a closer look at Korean Fried Chicken and its surprising origins, as well as the world's oldest restaurant, Restaurante Botรญn in Madrid, Spain. And for a taste of something new, we'll visit Big Meechie's Food Truck in Granite City, Ill., which has become an award-winning success.

Finally, this week on "Sunday Morning", we bring you two marathon episodes that are sure to satisfy your cravings: one featuring comfort food and the other covering the world of vaccines.

I mean, come on... is it really a good idea for companies to keep pushing protein-fueled products like they're going out of style? I get it, we're always looking for ways to boost our energy and stuff, but can't we just have a balanced diet instead? Like, do we really need all that extra protein in our lives? It's already kinda hard enough to deal with all the processed foods on the market... ๐Ÿคฏ

I'm like "omg yessss protein-fueled products are everywhere rn!!" but at the same time I'm kinda worried about our bodies handling all that extra protein ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿ— I mean, don't get me wrong, a good burger or chicken breast is def not bad for you but can we just chill on the protein shakes and energy bars for a sec? ๐Ÿ™…โ€โ™€๏ธ And omg comfort food is literally the best way to cope with stress, my grandma's cooking is like therapy ๐Ÿ’• I need more of those stories! ๐Ÿ‘€

๐Ÿค— I feel like companies like General Mills just wanna make a profit, you know? They're pushing all these new protein-fueled products on us because it's trendy, but what if people are actually overdoing it on the protein? ๐Ÿคฏ Like, do we really need that much extra? And comfort food is literally the best when we're feeling stressed or overwhelmed... I mean, who doesn't love a good ol' fashioned mac 'n cheese? ๐Ÿ˜‹ It's like our brains just know what we need to feel better. ๐Ÿ’•

I'm so over all these protein-fueled products ๐Ÿคฏ! Like, can't we just have a decent bowl of oatmeal or something without having to worry about it being "high in protein"? It's like companies are trying to sell us on some kind of weird protein obsession ๐Ÿ’ช. And don't even get me started on how they're pushing all this stuff on us - it's just not natural, you know? I mean, what's wrong with a good ol' fashioned cheeseburger or some pasta ๐Ÿ๐ŸŒฎ. We need to take a step back and appreciate the simple things in life, like a warm slice of pizza or a hearty bowl of chicken noodle soup ๐Ÿ˜‹. Comfort food is all about feeling cozy and relaxed, not about stuffing your face with unnecessary protein shakes ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ.

I gotta say, have you noticed how weird it's getting with all these protein-fueled products? Like, do we really need that much extra protein in our diets? I mean, I know corporations are gonna keep pushing this trend 'cause it's a goldmine, but is it healthy for us? ๐Ÿค” I've been to some of the episodes on Sunday Morning and trust me, Dr. Uma Naidoo knows her stuff. She talks about how our brains and bodies respond to all that extra protein and it's actually pretty fascinating. Anyway, if you're a fan of comfort food like me, you'll love this week's episode - it's like a big ol' hug in a bowl ๐Ÿด. And btw, have you tried Korean Fried Chicken? It's crazy how popular it got from being just some weird Spanish thing to now being everywhere ๐Ÿ˜‚.

omg i cant even eat anymore thinking about all these protein-fueled products lol ๐Ÿคฃ they need to stop pushing so much meat on us like americans are literally just gonna keep eating whatever is shoved down their throats anyway id rather stick with my vegan lifestyle than overdo it on the protein ๐Ÿ˜‚

I feel like protein-fueled products are getting a bit out of hand. Like, I get it, people need protein and all, but do we really need so much? Can't we just eat a balanced diet with some carbs and veggies too? And what's up with companies pushing these new products just because they can? It feels like they're more interested in making a profit than actually helping us. ๐Ÿค”

OMG, I'm so down for a protein-packed episode! ๐Ÿคฏ Like, I get it, America loves its protein-rich foods, but is it really necessary? ๐Ÿค” I'm all about balance, you know? But at the same time, I'm excited to see how companies are innovating with new products and if our bodies can handle all that extra protein. And yay for comfort food! ๐Ÿ˜‹ There's just something about a warm, fuzzy meal that hits the spot after a long day. Dr. Uma Naidoo sounds like a genius - I need more of her expertise in my life! ๐Ÿ’ก Plus, I'm curious about Korean Fried Chicken and its origins... who knew it had such an interesting history? ๐Ÿ— And Restaurante Botรญn is on my bucket list now! ๐Ÿ“š

I dont think its a good idea to be pushin protein everywhere in our diets. I mean think about it, protein is important but so are carbs & fats... we need balance ๐Ÿค”. Companies like General Mills r just tryna make more cash offa people's insecurities about their bodies. What if our bodies cant handle all that extra protein? We gotta be careful what we eat, especially with all the processed foods out there ๐Ÿ”.

I gotta say, I'm all for trying new foods, but is America really craving more protein in their diets? ๐Ÿค” I mean, have you seen all the protein-fueled bars and drinks on the market lately? It's like they're saying our bodies are just begging for more protein. I get that it's good for you, but can't we just enjoy a balanced meal with some carbs and veggies too? ๐Ÿ˜‚ And what's up with Korean Fried Chicken being so popular? I tried it once and it was actually pretty cool! ๐Ÿ—๐Ÿ‘Œ

I'm so curious about these protein-fueled products, they're literally taking over our grocery stores ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿ”! I mean, do we really need all this extra protein? Can't we just stick to a balanced diet like our grandparents did back in the day? ๐Ÿ™ On the other hand, comfort food is where it's at - who can resist a warm plate of mac 'n cheese or chicken pot pie? It's like our taste buds are doing the happy dance ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐ŸŒฎ! And have you guys tried Korean Fried Chicken? Mind. Blown. ๐Ÿ˜ฒ #Foodie #ProteinOverload #ComfortFoodForLife

I'm all for exploring the world of food on TV shows like Sunday Morning... but it's kinda weird how protein-fueled products are taking over everything ๐Ÿคฏ. I mean, can't we just have a balanced diet already? It feels like companies are just pushing stuff that people don't need to make more cash ๐Ÿ’ธ. And what's with all the emphasis on Korean Fried Chicken? Is it really that interesting? ๐Ÿ—๐Ÿค”

๐Ÿค” I gotta say, I'm a bit skeptical about all these protein-fueled products takin' over our diets. Like, can't we just have a balanced meal every now and then? ๐Ÿด I know some people love 'em, but forcing us to eat foods we don't enjoy for the sake of "gaining muscle" or whatever is just not right in my book. And what's with all these comfort food episodes? It's like they're tryin' to make us feel guilty about our snacking habits ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ. I mean, who doesn't love a good ol' fashioned burger and fries every now and then?! ๐ŸŸ

ugh, another episode of sunday morning where they're just pushing more stuff down our throats... like, do we really need a whole special episode on protein-fueled products? can't they see how saturated we are with processed foods already? ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ and what's up with the title "proteins: the new everything"? sounds like marketing speak to me ๐Ÿค‘

I think its crazy how much protein Americans are downing nowadays lol ๐Ÿคฏ like what's the point if we're not even burnin it off ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ? I'm all for a good meal, but do we really need that extra scoop of protein powder in our morning smoothie? And comfort food, oh man... its just so satisfying when you're havin a bad day, you know? like who doesn't love a good ol' fashioned grilled cheese or some fried chicken ๐Ÿ—. Its not healthy, but it hits the spot every time. And dont even get me started on Korean Fried Chicken... thats like my weakness ๐Ÿ˜‚

omg can u believe how much protein Americans need now lol it feels like general mills is tryna make a killing off our desire for protein enriched foods ๐Ÿค‘ i mean dont get me wrong protein is def important but do we really need that many grams of it every day? idk about u but its making me wanna stick to my veggie burgers ๐Ÿ”

I'm not sure I agree with all these protein-fueled products taking over our diets ๐Ÿค”. As far as I know, the average American already gets enough protein from their regular foods like chicken, fish, beans & lentils... I mean, is this really a trend that's needed? Companies are just trying to make a buck, right? General Mills seems to be pushing the boundaries of what we can tolerate in terms of extra protein intake. Maybe it's not as good for our health as they're making out ๐Ÿ™„.
